Kate is an experienced classroom teacher, director, costumer and arts administrator. She has spent her career building and developing visual and performing arts programs that promote student growth, artistic expression, and community engagement. She is very excited to be part of the Firehouse community and looks forward to continuing to build upon the amazing programs and performance opportunities that are offered.
Katie is a professional actress and educator who has worked on the Seacoast from Portsmouth to Newburyport. A graduate of the University of New Hampshire with a degree in Musical Theatre, since graduating she has consistently worked as a director, counselor, and instructor for educational theatre. As a class instructor, Katie has helped dozens of students write and perform their own theatrical works, discovering their own artistic voice and style. She is so excited to be bringing her enthusiasm and passion for theatre to the classes at the Firehouse Center with Project Sparx! See you in class!
Eric Kelley is a Newburyport resident who currently works as the Technical Director for the Performing Arts Dept. at UMass Boston. He brings 20 years of experience instructing students from elementary school through college in technical theatre. Eric is dedicated to helping students of all levels learn the craft of technical theatre in a safe and constructive environment.
Eric will be leading our Behind-The-Scenes programs, as well as working with our Outreach program at the Molin Elementary School as our Technical Theatre Instructor.
Gina McKeown is the Music Director and Founder of the Greater Newburyport Children’s Chorus and will be joined by Christina Bauer, the Music Director of the GNCC’s Juniors Ensemble. Both come with years of experience working with youth in both choral and stage settings.

Fontaine Dubus, Owner/Director of The Dance Place in Newburyport will present the dance and choreography segment of the Triple Threat Intensive. Dubus has decades of experience teaching a wide range of dance styles and choreographing musicals including Evita, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Billy Elliot.
Johanna graduated with a Masters in Music Performance from New England Conservatory and a Bachelor’s degree from University of New Hampshire. She teaches music at the Cashman Elementary School in Amesbury.

Julie began her academic pursuits in Dance Education and Performance at Columbia College in Chicago and completed her BFA at Bradford College. Currently she performs with EgoArt Inc. and teaches at The Dance Place and The Ipswich Moving Company Dance School
