Meet Our Instructors
Kate is an experienced classroom teacher, director, costumer and arts administrator. She has spent her career building and developing visual and performing arts programs that promote student growth, artistic expression, and community engagement. She is very excited to be part of the Firehouse community and looks forward to continuing to build upon the amazing programs and performance opportunities that are offered.
Adele has been dancing and performing most of her life. She has a BA in both Theater: Dance, and Psychology from UNH, where she continued her studies in a variety of dance styles and pedagogy techniques. Adele has worked for many area junior and high schools, youth theaters and professional theaters, and is the Dance Director for Camp Centerstage. Adele has continued to have a passion for studying developmental psychology, and specifically how the arts can positively impact a students social, emotional and psychological growth. When she was 17 she helped start a dance therapy program through her local dance studio and the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth. She is so very excited to bring her crazy energy & passion to Project Sparx!
Katie is a professional actress and educator who has worked on the Seacoast from Portsmouth to Newburyport. A graduate of the University of New Hampshire with a degree in Musical Theatre, since graduating she has consistently worked as a director, counselor, and instructor for educational theatre. As a class instructor, Katie has helped dozens of students write and perform their own theatrical works, discovering their own artistic voice and style. She is so excited to be bringing her enthusiasm and passion for theatre to the classes at the Firehouse Center with Project Sparx! See you in class!
Johanna graduated with a Masters in Music Performance from New England Conservatory and a Bachelor’s degree from University of New Hampshire. She teaches music at the Cashman Elementary School in Amesbury.
Julie began her academic pursuits in Dance Education and Performance at Columbia College in Chicago and completed her BFA at Bradford College. Currently she performs with EgoArt Inc. and teaches at The Dance Place and The Ipswich Moving Company Dance School
